The Bureau of Water (commonly Hydroburo) is responsible for providing potable drinking water and wastewater services across Vekllei. Water access is guaranteed universally in Vekllei, and the bureau maintains a presence in every republic to deliver this. It is part of the Ministry of Light & Water.

Water supply varies considerably across the Commonwealth. In Oslola and Kala, most drinking water comes from glacial runoff and requires minimal treatment. On low-lying limestone islands, freshwater is scarce and the bureau relies on rainwater catchment, aquifer management and desalination. The majority of industrial desalination is nuclear-powered, using plants operated by the Hydroburo in conjunction with the Bureau of Light.
