Oriental Division is the smallest Division of the Armed Forces by regimental strength, holding the mid-Atlantic stepping stones between the Americas and Africa from Fortress Helena, with auxiliary stations at Ascension and Santes. For what it lacks in garrison, it makes up in naval and air reach, since its isolated position making it a natural waypoint rather than a defended objective in its own right.

Major defence concerns of the division include the security of the Commonwealth World Astroport on Ascension, as the Commonwealth’s primary spaceport, and surveillance of the southern mid-Atlantic.
